The Government Affairs Summit (GAS) is a nationally attended annual forum hosted by the National Rehabilitation Association. The conference is an opportunity for rehabilitation professionals to examine and discuss current, new and emerging issues and concerns regarding rehabilitation and the immediate and long reaching impact public policy and legislation has on the professional field and the broader disability community it serves. Incorporated in the summit is networking, training and professional development for both new and experienced professionals. A key focus of this annual forum is developing and presenting a unified voice on disability and rehabilitation concerns to our legislators. Attendees share their experiences and expertise with both congressional and senatorial representatives, on Capitol Hill, educating them on ways to bring about positive impactful change.
